Avoylo Host Services Policy
Version: 0.1 Last Updated: September 27, 2026 Effective Date: [TBD BEFORE PUBLICATION]
This Host Services Policy defines the Host-side operating rules for participating in the Avoylo network, including Host eligibility, Host Location standards, Opportunity acceptance, inbound receipt, storage, inventory verification, outbound fulfillment, pickup staging, incident handling, transfers, returns, Host unavailability, and Host exit.
This Policy is intentionally focused on how a Host operates while physical Seller inventory is assigned to or stored at a Host Location. Host earnings, payouts, taxes, claims, insurance, privacy, prohibited items, equipment purchases, and other legal or commercial subjects are governed in greater detail by the applicable specialized policies and agreements.
Policy hierarchy
For operating matters:
- the Avoylo Operations Policy defines the network-wide operating model;
- the Seller Services Policy defines Seller-specific operating rules;
- this Host Services Policy defines Host-specific operating rules; and
- a narrower service-specific policy or written agreement controls for that specific feature, transaction, or service where it expressly differs.
If this Host Services Policy conflicts with the Operations Policy on a Host-specific operating matter, this Host Services Policy controls to the extent of that Host-specific conflict. A more specific applicable agreement or service policy controls over both where it expressly addresses the same matter.
Nothing in this Policy creates insurance coverage, guarantees Host earnings or Opportunity volume, determines employment or contractor status, determines legal title or risk of loss, or overrides rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
1. Core Definitions
For this Policy:
Host means an eligible person or entity approved to participate in the Avoylo network at one or more approved Host Locations.
Host Location means an Avoylo-approved physical location at which the Host is authorized to receive, store, and handle assigned Avoylo inventory.
Parcel means one individually identifiable sealed package recorded in Avoylo.
Batch means a Seller-created group of Parcels submitted together for placement.
Placement means the specific group of Parcels assigned by Avoylo to one Host Location under one committed Host acceptance.
Opportunity means a proposed Placement offered to one or more eligible Hosts.
Accepted Terms means the pricing and operational terms recorded when a Host validly accepts an Opportunity and Avoylo commits the Placement.
Outbound Task means an Avoylo-authorized instruction to retrieve and process one specifically assigned Parcel for fulfillment.
Authoritative State means a state committed by Avoylo's server-side system or a recognized external provider event. A browser display, local device state, unsupported manual statement, or physical assumption does not itself create an authoritative transition.
Operational Evidence means scans, timestamps, photographs, measurements, counts, carrier events, task events, audit records, and other records used to establish or investigate an operational event.
Quarantine means an operational hold that removes a Parcel from normal fulfillment while an issue is reviewed.
Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Avoylo Operations Policy or another applicable specific policy.
2. Host Operating Role
Under the initial Avoylo model, the Host's ordinary role is:
receive authorized sealed Parcels → verify required identity → store them securely → retrieve the exact assigned Parcel when Avoylo creates an Outbound Task → verify the Parcel → apply the authorized label → stage the Parcel → provide required evidence → make it available for authorized carrier pickup
The Host is not ordinarily expected to:
- open Seller Parcels;
- inspect merchandise inside sealed Parcels;
- pick loose SKUs;
- assemble kits;
- repack merchandise;
- modify products;
- perform product quality control;
- provide customer service for the Seller;
- choose which Parcel should fulfill an order;
- transport Parcels personally to a customer;
- accept ordinary customer returns without authorization; or
- perform another service that Avoylo has not expressly enabled.
3. Host Eligibility
A Host must satisfy the eligibility requirements presented during onboarding.
Unless Avoylo expressly supports another arrangement, an individual Host must be at least 18 years old and must also have reached the age of majority required for the applicable relationship in the Host's jurisdiction.
Avoylo may require:
- identity verification;
- contact verification;
- Host Location verification;
- tax or payout information;
- acceptance of applicable terms;
- operational profile information;
- proof of control or lawful use of the Host Location;
- security or storage information; or
- other verification reasonably required for the enabled service.
Completing registration does not guarantee approval, Opportunities, earnings, or continued access to a particular market.
4. Authority to Use the Host Location
The Host must have the lawful right and all permissions reasonably required to use the Host Location for the Avoylo activities actually performed there.
This may include permissions arising from:
- ownership;
- lease terms;
- building rules;
- homeowners-association rules;
- property restrictions;
- applicable local requirements; or
- another source of authority.
A Host must not knowingly register or use a Host Location where the Host lacks the right to receive or store the assigned inventory.
If the Host loses the right to use a Host Location or reasonably expects to lose access, the Host must notify Avoylo promptly and must not accept new Opportunities for that location.
5. Approved Host Location Only
Seller inventory may be stored only at the approved Host Location to which the Placement is assigned.
A Host must not independently move Seller inventory to:
- another home;
- another apartment;
- another garage;
- another storage unit;
- another business;
- a friend's or family member's property;
- another Host; or
- any other unapproved location.
A move between locations requires an Avoylo-authorized transfer workflow, except for an immediate emergency action reasonably necessary to protect people or property as described later in this Policy.
6. Host Location Baseline Standards
Unless a different service level is expressly approved, the Host Location must remain reasonably:
- clean;
- dry;
- protected from ordinary rain, snow, and weather exposure;
- secure from unauthorized access;
- lockable or otherwise capable of being secured;
- free from conditions reasonably likely to contaminate or damage ordinary packaged goods;
- accessible enough for the Host to retrieve assigned Parcels;
- within declared usable storage capacity; and
- suitable for the inventory the Host has accepted.
A Host must not knowingly store inventory where ordinary household or property conditions create a material risk that is inconsistent with the accepted inventory requirements.
7. Storage Safety
The Host must store inventory in a manner that does not create an unreasonable obstruction or obvious physical hazard.
Inventory must not be knowingly placed where it materially blocks:
- emergency exits;
- required walkways;
- electrical panels;
- fire-safety equipment;
- heating or utility access;
- doors needed for safe exit; or
- another safety-critical access point.
The Host must not knowingly stack or place Parcels in a manner that is materially unstable or reasonably likely to cause them to fall, crush, leak, or become inaccessible.
8. Environmental Conditions
Unless Avoylo expressly enables a temperature-controlled or special-storage service, ordinary Host storage is not temperature-controlled warehousing.
The Host must not knowingly expose accepted inventory to:
- standing water;
- persistent moisture;
- direct weather exposure;
- known active pest infestation;
- excessive smoke or fumes;
- obvious chemical contamination;
- uncontrolled heat sources; or
- another condition materially inconsistent with the accepted storage requirements.
If conditions materially change after inventory is accepted, the Host must notify Avoylo and follow the applicable incident or transfer workflow.
9. Household Members, Visitors, and Pets
The Host remains responsible for maintaining reasonable control over inventory at the Host Location.
The Host must take reasonable steps to prevent:
- household members;
- children;
- visitors;
- contractors;
- guests;
- pets; or
- other unauthorized persons
from opening, moving, using, damaging, relabeling, selling, or otherwise interfering with Seller inventory.
A household member's access to the property does not make that person an authorized Avoylo operator.
10. Authorized Handling
Only the Host and another person expressly authorized through an Avoylo-supported operating arrangement may perform Host handling tasks.
The Host must not casually delegate Avoylo tasks to an unapproved third party.
If Avoylo later supports approved assistants, employees, household operators, or business staff, each authorized operator must use the applicable identity, permission, and audit workflow.
The Host account holder remains responsible for ensuring that unauthorized persons do not perform Avoylo tasks under the Host's identity.
11. Host Operational Profile
The Host must keep material operating information reasonably current.
Avoylo may maintain information such as:
- usable storage volume;
- approximate Parcel capacity;
- cleanliness confirmation;
- dryness confirmation;
- lockability or security confirmation;
- optional CCTV or other security capabilities;
- processing days;
- processing windows;
- time zone;
- maximum outbound handling capacity;
- unattended-pickup capability;
- pickup-zone type;
- temporary unavailability; and
- vacation status.
Avoylo may use this information to determine Opportunity eligibility, task scheduling, service compatibility, and operational risk.
12. Processing Days and Windows
If the Host declares processing days or processing windows, the Host must make a reasonable effort to remain operationally available during those declared periods while inventory is in custody.
By accepting a Placement, the Host accepts an ongoing obligation to process eligible Outbound Tasks for that inventory according to the applicable service rules and the Host's declared availability.
Individual Outbound Tasks are not ordinary optional Opportunities that the Host may freely decline after accepting the Placement.
If the Host cannot process an assigned task because of a genuine operational problem, the Host must use the applicable issue or incident workflow promptly.
13. Daily Handling Capacity
The Host must keep any declared daily outbound capacity reasonably accurate.
The Host must not knowingly represent that it can process materially more outbound tasks than it can reasonably handle within its declared operating schedule.
Avoylo may use recorded capacity to limit new Placements or allocate work.
A temporary reduction in capacity should be reflected through the supported Host profile or availability workflow.
14. Vacation and Temporary Unavailability
A Host may use the supported vacation or unavailable mode to stop or reduce new Opportunities.
Vacation or unavailable status does not automatically cancel:
- inventory already stored;
- accepted Placements;
- existing custody responsibilities;
- unresolved Outbound Tasks; or
- incident obligations.
If the Host expects to be unavailable for a period that would prevent proper custody or fulfillment of existing inventory, the Host must request an authorized transfer, wind-down, or other operational solution before leaving where reasonably practicable.
15. Extended Absence
The Host must not knowingly leave active Avoylo inventory in a condition where the Host cannot meet the applicable custody, safety, or fulfillment requirements for an extended period.
If an unexpected absence occurs, the Host must notify Avoylo as soon as reasonably practicable.
Avoylo may:
- stop new Opportunities;
- stop or reroute new outbound allocation where supported;
- arrange an authorized inventory transfer;
- request inventory reconciliation; or
- take another reasonable operational action.
16. CCTV and Optional Security Features
CCTV is not a universal requirement unless Avoylo expressly makes it required for a particular service.
If the Host represents that CCTV or another security feature is available and Avoylo relies on that representation for eligibility or service level, the Host must keep that representation materially accurate.
Where lawfully operated and reasonably available, a Host may be asked to preserve relevant security footage after a material theft, custody, pickup, or safety incident.
The Host must not operate security equipment in violation of applicable privacy or recording law.
17. Pickup Zone
If the Host enables unattended pickup or another pickup-zone workflow, the Host must provide a pickup zone that is reasonably suitable for the enabled service.
The pickup zone should be:
- reasonably identifiable to the Host;
- accessible to the applicable carrier as required;
- reasonably protected from obvious weather or interference risk;
- consistent with the Host's declared capability; and
- maintained so that staged Parcels are not confused with ordinary household packages.
The Host must keep material pickup-zone information current.
18. No Required Entry Into Private Living Space
Unless the Host expressly agrees to a supported service requiring otherwise, Avoylo's ordinary pickup workflow does not require a carrier, Seller, customer, or unrelated third party to enter the private interior of the Host's home.
The Host should use the authorized pickup zone or handoff method appropriate for the selected service.
A Seller or customer must not be invited to enter a private Host Location for ordinary order pickup unless Avoylo has expressly enabled that workflow.
19. Host Location Privacy
The Host's exact address is not intended to be public marketplace information.
Avoylo may show Sellers only a coarse geographic area before an operational need exists.
The Host acknowledges that an exact address may be used or disclosed where reasonably necessary for:
- authorized inbound routing;
- carrier pickup;
- transfer;
- return or removal;
- incident investigation;
- compliance with law; or
- another legitimate fulfillment purpose.
The Host must not publish another user's private information obtained through Avoylo.
20. Opportunities
Avoylo may send the same Opportunity to multiple eligible Hosts.
Receiving an Opportunity does not create a duty to accept it.
A Host may decline an unaccepted Opportunity. Declining an Opportunity does not create custody responsibility for that Placement.
Avoylo may limit, rank, sequence, expire, or stop Opportunities based on location, capacity, availability, operational reliability, service compatibility, or other legitimate factors.
21. Opportunity Information
An Opportunity may show information reasonably necessary for the Host to decide whether to accept, such as:
- Parcel quantity;
- approximate dimensions or space;
- product or handling category where appropriate;
- expected storage requirements;
- storage earning terms;
- inbound earning terms;
- outbound earning terms;
- expected operational profile; and
- applicable Placement conditions.
Avoylo should not expose unnecessary Seller, customer, internal organization, or payment information merely because the Host receives an Opportunity.
22. Opportunity Acceptance
A Host pressing an Accept button does not itself create the assignment.
A Placement is assigned only when Avoylo's authoritative server-side system:
- confirms the Opportunity is still open;
- validates Host eligibility;
- validates Host Location status;
- validates available capacity and operational profile;
- records the Accepted Terms; and
- commits the assignment transaction.
Where multiple Hosts attempt to accept the same Opportunity, only the first acceptance successfully committed by Avoylo becomes the assignment.
All competing offers for that same Placement may then be closed or marked no longer available.
23. Accepted Terms
When a Placement is committed, Avoylo records or may record the applicable Accepted Terms.
These may include:
- accepted storage rate;
- pricing-policy version;
- Parcel quantity;
- approximate volume;
- inbound earning terms;
- outbound earning terms;
- applicable Seller charges; and
- other identified operational or commercial terms.
The Host must not assume that later changes to Avoylo's general pricing automatically rewrite an already accepted Placement.
24. Capacity Reservation After Acceptance
Once a Host accepts a Placement and Avoylo commits it, the Host must reasonably preserve enough declared capacity to receive the authorized inventory.
The Host must not knowingly consume or commit that capacity in a way that makes the accepted Placement impossible to receive.
If capacity unexpectedly becomes unavailable, the Host must notify Avoylo before inbound arrival where reasonably possible.
Avoylo may cancel, rematch, or otherwise resolve the Placement through the authorized workflow.
25. Seller Inbound No-Show or Delay
Accepting a Placement does not require the Host to reserve capacity indefinitely without an authorized inbound shipment.
Avoylo may apply an inbound tender window, expected arrival window, or other Placement validity rule.
If the Seller fails to tender the authorized inbound shipment within the applicable window, Avoylo may:
- extend the Placement;
- release reserved capacity;
- cancel or expire the Placement;
- rematch inventory later; or
- take another supported action.
Storage earning does not begin merely because a Host accepted an Opportunity.
26. Receiving Authorized Inventory
When an authorized inbound shipment arrives, the Host must use the Avoylo receipt workflow.
Where required, the Host must:
- identify the applicable Placement;
- verify required Parcel identity;
- confirm the physical Parcel exists;
- record the required receipt event;
- report a material discrepancy; and
- complete the storage-confirmation step before the Parcel becomes normal stored inventory.
A carrier Delivered event does not itself make a Parcel STORED.
27. Partial Batch Arrival
A Placement may be physically received in multiple deliveries where the authorized inbound workflow allows it.
Each Parcel's custody state is determined individually.
The Host must not mark missing Parcels as received merely because other Parcels in the same Placement arrived.
A partially received Placement may contain both:
- Parcels already authoritatively
STORED; and - Parcels still inbound, missing, delayed, or under review.
Material quantity discrepancies must be reported.
28. Unknown or Unauthorized Parcels
An unknown, unapproved, or unidentified Parcel must not be treated as normal STORED inventory.
The Host must use the applicable report or review workflow.
The operational path is:
UNKNOWN / UNAPPROVED → REVIEW → authorized identification, correction, return, removal, or other approved disposition
The Host must not open an unknown Parcel merely to discover what is inside.
The Host must not discard, use, sell, or independently return an unknown Parcel outside the authorized process.
29. Inbound Discrepancies
The Host must report a material inbound discrepancy when the Host reasonably observes one.
Examples include:
- quantity mismatch;
- materially different weight;
- materially different dimensions or volume;
- visible external damage;
- invalid or unknown Parcel identity;
- unexpected Parcel;
- leaking packaging;
- obvious unsafe condition;
- apparent prohibited item; or
- another material inconsistency.
The Host's report is an observation, not an automatic final determination of Seller fault.
Avoylo may preserve both the Seller's original declaration and the Host's reported observation.
30. Measuring Weight and Dimensions
Where Avoylo asks the Host to verify weight or dimensions, the Host must use a reasonable measurement method and report the observed result honestly.
The Host must not manipulate a measurement to increase compensation, penalize a Seller, or create a false incident.
Where equipment precision is limited, the Host should report the measurement through the workflow provided rather than presenting a rough estimate as an exact certified measurement.
Avoylo may request photographs or repeat measurement for a material discrepancy.
31. Damaged Inbound Parcels
If a Parcel arrives with visible external damage, the Host must not hide, repair, reseal, or materially alter the damage before required evidence is captured, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent further harm or address safety.
The Host should use the applicable incident or discrepancy workflow.
Avoylo may require:
- photographs;
- a description;
- carrier packaging evidence;
- quantity confirmation; or
- another reasonable non-invasive record.
The Host must not open the Parcel merely to inspect the product unless Avoylo expressly authorizes an inspection service.
32. Unsafe or Suspicious Parcels
If a Parcel appears to be leaking, emitting fumes, damaged in a way that creates a safety concern, or otherwise potentially dangerous, the Host must stop ordinary handling.
The Host must not:
- intentionally open the Parcel;
- smell or taste the contents;
- manipulate suspected dangerous contents;
- move the Parcel unnecessarily; or
- continue normal fulfillment.
The Host must use the applicable safety or incident workflow.
Nothing in this Policy requires the Host to place themselves or another person in danger.
Emergency services or other appropriate authorities should be contacted where reasonably necessary for immediate safety.
33. Quarantine
QUARANTINED is an operational hold that removes a Parcel from normal fulfillment.
While a Parcel is quarantined:
- ordinary outbound allocation must be blocked;
- the Host must not open, repack, return, destroy, or transfer it outside authorized instructions;
- the Host must not treat it as normal available inventory; and
- the Host must follow the applicable safety or incident instructions.
Quarantine does not require the Host to physically move a potentially dangerous Parcel where doing so could increase risk.
When safe and practical, Avoylo may instruct the Host to keep a non-dangerous quarantined Parcel separated from normal inventory.
34. Authoritative Parcel States
The normal Parcel lifecycle is:
RECEIVING → STORED → RESERVED → HANDOFFREADY → CARRIERACCEPTED → DELIVERED
Exception or administrative states may include:
DISCREPANCY_REVIEWQUARANTINEDTRANSFER_PENDINGRETURN_PENDINGREMOVAL_PENDINGDAMAGEDLOSTCANCELLED
Avoylo may use different internal labels if their operational meaning is equivalent.
The Host must not treat a Parcel as having changed state merely because a physical action occurred without the required Avoylo event.
35. STORED Transition
A Parcel becomes STORED only after the required Host receipt and verification workflow is completed and no blocking discrepancy or safety hold remains.
The Host must not mark a Parcel STORED if:
- the identity cannot be verified where verification is required;
- the Parcel is unknown or unauthorized;
- a blocking safety issue exists; or
- the workflow instructs the Host to place the Parcel into review.
Storage earnings do not begin before the authoritative storage event under the applicable Host Earnings & Payout Terms.
36. Storage Organization
The Host must organize stored Parcels so that an exact assigned Parcel can be retrieved without opening packages.
The Host may use shelves, bins, zones, labels, or another reasonable organization method consistent with Avoylo's instructions.
Where multiple Sellers' inventory is stored at the same Host Location, the Host must maintain enough physical and system organization to prevent Parcel substitution or confusion.
The Host must not intentionally obscure Avoylo identifiers.
37. No Opening, Use, or Tampering
Without express Avoylo authorization, the Host must not:
- open a Seller Parcel;
- remove merchandise;
- use or consume merchandise;
- alter the contents;
- reseal a Parcel to conceal an opening;
- sell or give away merchandise;
- photograph internal product contents by opening the Parcel;
- remove Seller packaging for personal reasons; or
- otherwise tamper with the Parcel.
A damaged seal or suspected tampering must be reported rather than concealed.
38. No Unauthorized Relocation
A Host must not relocate Seller inventory outside the approved Host Location without an authorized transfer.
Within the approved Host Location, the Host may reorganize inventory where necessary for safe and accurate storage, provided Avoylo's storage-location records are updated where the system requires location tracking.
A Host must not hide inventory from Avoylo reconciliation or task workflows.
39. Physical Inventory Reconciliation
Avoylo may require the Host to perform a reasonable inventory verification when needed for:
- periodic reconciliation;
- security;
- discrepancy investigation;
- transfer preparation;
- removal;
- Host exit;
- suspected loss;
- suspected damage; or
- another legitimate operational reason.
The Host may be required to:
- scan specified Parcel identifiers;
- confirm a Parcel count;
- photograph specified sealed Parcels;
- confirm storage location;
- report missing or unexpected inventory; or
- complete another reasonable non-invasive check.
The Host must not fabricate a reconciliation result.
40. Missing Parcel at the Host Location
If the Host cannot locate a Parcel that Avoylo records as being in the Host's custody, the Host must not substitute another Parcel or falsely mark it fulfilled.
The Host must:
- stop the affected outbound workflow;
- perform a reasonable search and identifier check;
- use the applicable incident or reconciliation workflow; and
- preserve relevant evidence.
Avoylo may place the affected Parcel or task into a blocked, lost-review, or equivalent state.
41. Damage Discovered During Storage
If the Host discovers that a stored Parcel has become damaged, wet, crushed, opened, contaminated, or otherwise materially compromised, the Host must report the issue promptly.
The Host must not conceal the condition by repackaging or replacing materials unless Avoylo expressly authorizes a recovery procedure.
Where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent further damage or a safety hazard, the Host should prioritize safety and then document and report the action as soon as reasonably practicable.
42. Theft, Break-In, or Unauthorized Access
If the Host reasonably believes inventory has been stolen or accessed by an unauthorized person, the Host must notify Avoylo promptly.
The Host should preserve relevant evidence where reasonably possible.
The Host is not required to confront a suspected thief or place themselves in danger.
Where appropriate, the Host may contact law enforcement or emergency services.
If a police or incident report is made, Avoylo may request the applicable report or reference information where reasonably relevant to an investigation or claim.
43. Fire, Flood, Disaster, and Emergency Relocation
Human safety takes priority over ordinary inventory procedures.
If fire, flooding, structural damage, evacuation, utility failure, severe weather, or another emergency creates an immediate threat, the Host is not required to endanger themselves to preserve Seller inventory.
If an emergency relocation of inventory is reasonably necessary to protect people or property, the Host may take the minimum reasonable protective action permitted by law and must notify Avoylo as soon as reasonably practicable.
The Host should document:
- what was moved;
- why it was moved;
- where it was moved;
- when the move occurred; and
- any observed damage or loss.
Once immediate danger has passed, further movement must follow Avoylo's authorized transfer or recovery workflow.
44. Outbound Task Creation
When Avoylo accepts a fulfillable Seller order and reserves a specific eligible Parcel, Avoylo creates or authorizes the applicable Outbound Task.
For active inventory already accepted by the Host, the Host is expected to process valid Outbound Tasks according to the applicable service level and declared processing availability.
The Host must not require the Seller to negotiate separately for each ordinary outbound task.
45. Exact Parcel Retrieval
The Host must retrieve only the Parcel specified by the authoritative Outbound Task.
The Host must not substitute another Parcel merely because:
- it looks identical;
- it contains the same product;
- the Seller appears to have interchangeable stock; or
- another Parcel is easier to reach.
Where required, the Host must scan the assigned opaque QR code or other identifier and receive successful system verification before proceeding.
46. QR Verification
A successful QR or identifier verification confirms that the scanned Parcel matches the authorized task according to Avoylo's records.
The Host must not:
- photograph one QR and use it for a different Parcel;
- reuse a prior successful scan;
- copy an identifier to bypass physical verification;
- manually mark a Parcel verified without the required workflow; or
- continue after a mismatch unless Avoylo provides an authorized resolution path.
A mismatch must be treated as an operational issue, not bypassed.
47. Shipping Label Handling
The Host must use only the label authorized for the assigned Parcel and shipment.
The Host must not:
- alter destination information;
- edit a carrier service;
- reuse a label for another Parcel;
- copy a label for an unauthorized shipment;
- use Avoylo shipping credentials outside the task; or
- intentionally leave conflicting active labels visible on the Parcel.
If a label is damaged, incorrect, voided, replaced, or superseded, the Host must use the Avoylo label workflow.
When a replacement label is issued, the previous label must be treated as invalid for future handoff.
Where safe and practical, the Host must remove, cover, or permanently obscure superseded shipping labels and conflicting carrier barcodes.
48. Printing Capability
Where the enabled service requires the Host to apply printed shipping labels, the Host must maintain reasonable access to a compatible printing method during the Host's declared processing windows.
This may include:
- Host-owned equipment;
- Avoylo-provided equipment;
- Avoylo-subsidized equipment;
- compatible third-party equipment; or
- another Avoylo-supported printing method.
The Host is not required to purchase proprietary Avoylo hardware unless a specific optional program expressly states otherwise.
49. Staging
After correct Parcel verification and label handling, the Host must stage the Parcel only in the authorized pickup location or handoff method.
The Host must not knowingly stage:
- the wrong Parcel;
- a Parcel with an invalid or superseded label;
- a Parcel in a materially different pickup location without updating the authorized workflow; or
- a Parcel in a location the Host knows is unsafe or incompatible with the enabled pickup method.
50. Staging Photo Evidence
Where Avoylo requires staging evidence, the Host must submit an accurate photograph of the staged Parcel through the supported workflow.
The Host must not submit:
- a photo of a different Parcel;
- a stale photo from an earlier task;
- a manipulated image intended to misrepresent staging;
- a photo taken before the relevant staging event and presented as current; or
- another materially false record.
Where a replacement photo is allowed, Avoylo may retain the prior evidence and link the new evidence rather than silently overwrite history.
The Host should avoid unnecessarily capturing unrelated people, private household documents, screens, or other sensitive information in staging photographs.
51. HANDOFF_READY
A Parcel becomes HANDOFF_READY only after Avoylo's required Host-side outbound conditions are authoritatively satisfied.
Those conditions may include:
- exact Parcel verification;
- valid label handling;
- required staging;
- required photo evidence; and
- other task-specific checks.
The Host must not represent HANDOFF_READY as carrier possession.
52. Carrier Acceptance
A Parcel becomes CARRIER_ACCEPTED only when sufficiently reliable carrier or shipping-provider evidence confirms carrier possession or another expressly authorized provider rule applies.
The Host must not mark or report carrier acceptance merely because:
- the Parcel was placed outside;
- the Parcel disappeared from the pickup zone;
- a vehicle approached the property;
- the Host believes the carrier probably collected it; or
- staging was completed.
Where Avoylo requires provider confirmation, provider evidence controls.
53. Unattended Pickup
The Host may use unattended pickup only where:
- the applicable service permits it;
- the Host has enabled or accepted it;
- the pickup zone is appropriate;
- the Parcel is correctly staged; and
- applicable carrier rules permit the arrangement.
The Host must not leave a Parcel unattended merely because unattended pickup exists as a general feature if the particular task requires another handoff method.
54. In-Person Carrier Handoff
Where an in-person handoff is required, the Host must provide the correct authorized Parcel to the applicable carrier representative.
The Host should not hand over additional Avoylo Parcels that are not part of the applicable pickup.
If the carrier refuses a Parcel, identifies a label problem, or cannot complete the handoff, the Host must use the Avoylo exception workflow rather than improvising shipment changes.
55. Failed Pickup
If an expected pickup does not result in carrier acceptance, the Host must not falsely mark the task complete.
The Parcel does not automatically return to STORED merely because pickup failed.
The Parcel remains in the outbound custody workflow while Avoylo determines the next authorized step.
Avoylo may instruct the Host to:
- secure the Parcel again;
- move it temporarily from the pickup zone into protected holding;
- re-stage it;
- verify the existing label;
- apply a replacement label;
- upload new staging evidence; or
- wait for a new pickup window.
If Avoylo cancels the outbound task and confirms that the Parcel is safely returned to normal storage, Avoylo may release the reservation and return it to STORED.
56. No Independent Carrier Changes
The Host must not independently:
- change carrier service;
- purchase a replacement label outside the authorized workflow for an Avoylo task;
- redirect a shipment;
- transport a Parcel to another shipping provider;
- arrange a different pickup; or
- drop a Parcel at a carrier facility
unless Avoylo expressly authorizes that action for the task.
The initial Host role is storage and authorized handoff, not discretionary transportation.
57. Order Cancellation
If a Seller requests cancellation, the Host must follow the authoritative task state shown by Avoylo.
The Host must not independently stop, retrieve, relabel, redirect, or return a Parcel solely because the Seller contacts the Host outside Avoylo.
If Avoylo authorizes cancellation before carrier acceptance, the system will provide the applicable stop, retrieval, label-void, storage-return, or other instruction.
After CARRIER_ACCEPTED, the Host no longer controls ordinary pre-shipment cancellation.
58. Customer and Seller Direct Contact
The Host should use Avoylo's authorized operational workflow rather than independently contacting a Seller or end customer about ordinary fulfillment.
The Host must not:
- market directly to a Seller's customer using fulfillment information;
- use customer addresses or contact information for unrelated purposes;
- invite a customer to the Host Location;
- arrange off-platform customer pickup;
- negotiate separate fulfillment fees using private Avoylo information; or
- disclose another user's private information.
Where Avoylo expressly provides a communication feature or support-mediated contact, the Host may use it for the authorized purpose.
59. Customer Returns
The Host must not accept ordinary customer returns unless Avoylo has expressly authorized the return workflow.
A customer arriving at the Host Location without an authorized Avoylo pickup or return workflow should not be given Seller inventory or invited to conduct an off-platform transaction.
If an unexpected return shipment arrives, the Host must report it and must not automatically mark it as normal STORED inventory.
Avoylo determines the authorized return destination and return workflow for Avoylo-managed reverse logistics.
60. Returned Merchandise
Unless Avoylo expressly enables inspection services, the Host must not open, test, grade, clean, refurbish, repair, or repackage customer-returned merchandise.
A returned Parcel may become normal stored inventory only if the supported return workflow authoritatively permits it.
Opened, damaged, used, unsafe, unidentified, or otherwise non-standard returns may remain in RETURN_PENDING, QUARANTINED, DAMAGED, or another review state.
61. Transfer Between Host Locations
A Host must not hand Seller inventory directly to another Host outside an Avoylo-authorized transfer.
An authorized transfer should preserve:
- Parcel identity;
- source Host Location;
- destination Host Location;
- transfer status;
- custody evidence;
- shipment or handoff records; and
- applicable financial records.
The sending Host remains responsible for the Parcel under the applicable custody workflow until the authorized transfer event records the next custody state.
62. Host Move or Location Change
A Host planning to move, close the Host Location, materially renovate it, lose access to it, or otherwise make it unavailable must notify Avoylo before the change where reasonably practicable.
The Host must stop accepting new Opportunities if the Host knows the Location will not remain usable for the expected Placement period.
Avoylo may require inventory reconciliation and transfer or removal before approving a new Host Location.
Inventory must not simply be carried to the new address without an authorized transfer.
63. Host Exit
A Host that wants to stop participating must use the Avoylo exit workflow.
The expected lifecycle is:
Host requests exit → new Opportunities stop → active inventory is reconciled → eligible open tasks are completed or stopped → remaining inventory is transferred, returned, or otherwise resolved → physical Avoylo inventory reaches zero → Host Location is deactivated
Requesting exit does not erase custody obligations for inventory already at the Host Location.
The Host must continue to protect existing inventory until it has been authoritatively transferred, returned, removed, delivered, or otherwise resolved.
64. Immediate Loss of Location Access
If the Host unexpectedly loses access to the Host Location because of eviction, property closure, emergency order, building damage, lockout, legal process, or another event, the Host must notify Avoylo as soon as reasonably practicable.
The Host should not make false statements about continuing custody if the Host no longer has physical access.
Avoylo may initiate an urgent inventory-recovery or transfer workflow where possible.
65. Host Incapacity
If the Host becomes temporarily or permanently unable to perform required custody or fulfillment tasks, the Host or an authorized representative should notify Avoylo as soon as reasonably practicable.
Avoylo may stop new Opportunities and attempt to coordinate safe inventory recovery or transfer.
This section does not authorize an unverified representative to perform Avoylo tasks or take Seller inventory without an authorized recovery process.
66. Operational Incidents
The Host must use the applicable incident workflow for material operating problems.
Incident categories may include:
PICKUP_MISSED;CARRIER_ACCEPTANCE_MISSING;FULFILLMENT_BLOCKED;PARCEL_DAMAGED;INBOUND_MISMATCH;WRONG_PARCEL;PHOTO_INVALID;CAPACITY_MISMATCH;PROHIBITED_ITEM;SAFETY_CONCERN;- suspected loss;
- suspected theft; or
- another supported category.
An incident report does not itself establish legal fault or reimbursement entitlement.
67. Host Reports About Seller Inventory
The Host may report Seller-side operational problems such as:
- materially inaccurate declared weight;
- materially inaccurate dimensions;
- quantity mismatch;
- unknown or unapproved Parcel;
- damaged inbound packaging;
- leaking or unsafe packaging;
- suspected prohibited item;
- incorrect identifier;
- repeated unauthorized shipments; or
- another material discrepancy.
The Host must report observations honestly and must not use the report system to retaliate against a Seller or manipulate compensation.
68. Human Response and Cooperation
Avoylo may operate internal targets for human review of critical incidents.
A stated internal first-response target does not mean every incident will be resolved within that period.
The Host must provide reasonable cooperation with an active operational investigation, including requested non-invasive evidence that is reasonably available to the Host.
The Host is not required to place themselves in danger to gather evidence.
69. Operational Evidence
The Host must not intentionally falsify:
- QR scans;
- photographs;
- Parcel counts;
- measurements;
- timestamps;
- carrier handoff information;
- storage confirmations;
- inventory reconciliation;
- incident reports; or
- another material operational record.
Avoylo may compare Host evidence with Seller declarations, carrier events, system logs, payment records, and other relevant evidence.
Where a material operational record is corrected, Avoylo should preserve an auditable correction rather than silently rewrite history where reasonably practical.
70. Host Account and Credential Security
The Host must take reasonable steps to protect the Host's Avoylo account, device access, and task credentials.
The Host must not allow an unauthorized person to perform scans, accept Opportunities, upload evidence, or complete tasks under the Host's identity.
If the Host reasonably believes the account or device used for Avoylo has been compromised, the Host must notify Avoylo promptly and stop relying on the compromised access until the issue is addressed.
71. Privacy and Customer Information
The Host may receive limited Seller or end-customer information necessary to complete an authorized task.
The Host must use that information only for the authorized operational purpose.
The Host must not:
- create a personal customer list;
- contact customers for marketing;
- retain unnecessary copies of shipping labels or customer addresses;
- post customer information publicly;
- share customer information with unauthorized persons; or
- use fulfillment information for unrelated personal or commercial purposes.
More detailed privacy obligations are governed by Avoylo's Privacy Policy and applicable agreements.
72. Social Media and Public Posting
The Host must not publicly post photographs, videos, livestreams, or other content that exposes nonpublic Avoylo information, including:
- customer names or addresses;
- shipping labels;
- private Host or Seller information;
- QR codes or operational identifiers that could be misused;
- nonpublic inventory details;
- incident evidence; or
- private Avoylo screens containing sensitive information.
This does not prohibit truthful general discussion of the Host's experience where private or restricted information is not disclosed and no applicable agreement is violated.
73. Host Earnings Reference
Host earnings may arise from supported storage, inbound, outbound, or other operational events.
An Opportunity may display expected or applicable earning terms before acceptance.
The Host's authoritative earning record is determined by Avoylo's server-side operational and financial records, not merely by a client-side estimate.
The timing of when an earning becomes pending, available, payable, adjusted, withheld, or paid is governed by the Host Earnings & Payout Terms.
This Policy does not independently redefine payout timing or tax treatment.
74. Storage Earnings Reference
For the current operating model, storage earning accrual begins no earlier than the authoritative STORED event.
The applicable accepted storage rate and other earning terms are preserved through the Placement's Accepted Terms where the system supports such snapshotting.
The exact accrual precision, stop event, payout timing, corrections, and financial treatment are governed by the Host Earnings & Payout Terms and applicable financial policy.
75. Inbound and Outbound Earnings Reference
Where Avoylo provides separate Host earnings for inbound or outbound handling, the earning event is tied to the applicable authoritative operational completion event.
A Host must not create additional earnings by intentionally repeating scans, uploading duplicate evidence, or retrying the same idempotent action.
Retries used to safely complete the same operational event do not create duplicate earning events.
Exact amounts and payout treatment are governed by the applicable Accepted Terms and Host Earnings & Payout Terms.
76. Equipment and Printer Program
Avoylo may make compatible label printers, scales, labels, or other equipment available to Hosts through:
- direct sale;
- third-party purchase;
- partner or affiliate arrangements;
- discounts;
- subsidies; or
- milestone-based rewards.
A Host may become eligible for free or subsidized equipment under a defined reward program.
No Host is guaranteed free equipment merely by registering.
Unless a specific service expressly requires a certified device, Avoylo should not require a proprietary Avoylo-branded printer where a compatible supported device is sufficient.
Warranty, ownership, returns, replacement, reward eligibility, and partner terms are governed by the applicable Equipment & Rewards Policy.
77. Equipment Accuracy
Where the Host uses a printer, scale, scanner, camera, or other device for Avoylo tasks, the Host must use the device honestly and in a reasonably functional condition.
The Host must not intentionally manipulate a scale, scan, photograph, printer output, or device configuration to create false operational evidence.
If a required device becomes unavailable or materially unreliable, the Host should update the relevant capability or report the issue before accepting work that requires the device.
78. No Off-Platform Fulfillment Using Avoylo Information
The Host must not use private Avoylo information to arrange unauthorized off-platform fulfillment with a Seller.
The Host must not:
- solicit the Seller using a private address, contact, or account detail obtained only through Avoylo;
- accept unrecorded Seller inventory at the Host Location;
- fulfill orders outside the Avoylo custody system using Avoylo-only information;
- bypass required scans or evidence to avoid Avoylo systems; or
- use Avoylo shipping credentials for an off-platform shipment.
This does not prohibit independently lawful relationships that do not misuse private Avoylo information or violate an applicable agreement.
79. No Sale, Disposal, or Personal Use of Seller Inventory
The Host must never treat Seller inventory as abandoned, gifted, or available for personal use merely because:
- it has remained stored for a long time;
- the Seller is inactive;
- the Seller owes money;
- the Seller is unreachable;
- the Host is leaving Avoylo; or
- the Host believes the inventory has little value.
The Host must not sell, discard, donate, consume, or otherwise dispose of Seller inventory unless Avoylo provides an authorized disposition under the applicable agreement and law.
80. Operational Suspension
Avoylo may stop new Opportunities or restrict Host operational functionality where reasonably necessary because of:
- location ineligibility;
- insufficient capacity;
- material security concern;
- repeated missed tasks;
- suspected falsification;
- prohibited handling;
- account compromise;
- unresolved custody discrepancy;
- verification failure;
- safety concern;
- legal requirement; or
- another material operational issue.
A Host suspension does not automatically resolve inventory already in custody.
Existing inventory must continue through the applicable storage, transfer, return, removal, or incident workflow.
81. No Guarantee of Opportunities or Earnings
Host registration, verification, approval, active status, available capacity, or past performance does not guarantee:
- any Opportunity;
- any minimum number of Parcels;
- any minimum storage duration;
- any minimum outbound volume;
- any particular earning amount;
- any particular payout frequency beyond the applicable payout terms; or
- continued availability of a particular market or feature.
Displayed earning examples or projections are not guaranteed income unless expressly stated in a binding specific offer.
82. Policy Versioning
Avoylo may update this Host Services Policy from time to time.
Each published version should identify its effective date or last-updated date.
Where legally required or contractually promised, Avoylo will provide appropriate notice before a material change becomes effective.
Existing Accepted Terms and completed historical events remain subject to applicable historical terms where required by the governing agreement or law.
