Practical guide
Keep labels, tracking, and custody distinct.
Shipping records describe different events. Follow the authorized destination and service for the specific shipment, and keep the parcel identity attached to that record.
Inbound: use the accepted destination
Ship only after the inbound placement is authorized. Check parcel count, address, and instructions against that placement. Retain the carrier tracking reference. A previous Host address is not authorization for a new shipment.
Outbound: verify the parcel and label
The Seller supplies accurate recipient details. The Host follows the assigned exact-parcel task, checks identity, and attaches the authorized label. Resolve mismatches before staging; do not choose a similar-looking parcel as a substitute.
Pickup is a separate step
A label can be created before a parcel is staged, and staging can happen before pickup. Use the actual handoff record to distinguish readiness from carrier custody. If pickup is missed, follow the task’s exception process and retain the evidence.
Understand carrier costs
Postage, paid pickup, and attributable provider adjustments are pass-through costs under the pilot policy. Dimensional-weight, address, or service adjustments can arise after the initial purchase. They are not the same as the normal Avoylo outbound handling charge.
Investigate delivery exceptions
Collect the shipment reference, tracking events, parcel identity, and relevant photos. Report the issue promptly. A carrier delivered event does not by itself establish Host receipt on inbound, and a customer delivery dispute may require its own carrier process.
