Avoylo Equipment & Rewards Policy
Version: 0.1 Last Updated: September 28, 2026 Effective Date: [TBD BEFORE PUBLICATION]
This Equipment & Rewards Policy defines how Avoylo may recommend, sell, subsidize, loan, or award equipment used by Hosts, including label printers, labels, storage accessories, and other operational equipment.
This Policy also defines the initial rules for milestone-based equipment rewards, direct equipment purchases, partner/OEM programs, warranty support, returns, and equipment-related earnings disclosures.
This Policy should be read together with the Host Services Policy, Host Storage & Safety Standards, Host Earnings & Payout Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Host Services Agreement.
1. Core Principle
Avoylo may help Hosts obtain compatible equipment, but the ordinary Avoylo Host model does not require Hosts to purchase proprietary Avoylo-branded hardware merely to participate.
Where commercially reasonable, a compatible third-party device may satisfy the requirement.
Avoylo may support equipment through:
- milestone or reward unlocks;
- subsidized equipment;
- direct purchase;
- loaner equipment;
- OEM or distributor arrangements;
- affiliate or referral arrangements; or
- another expressly disclosed program.
2. Initial Equipment Focus
The initial equipment program may include:
- compatible thermal label printers;
- shipping-label rolls;
- storage labels;
- QR-related supplies;
- shelving or bins;
- tape or basic packing consumables where applicable;
- scales;
- measuring tools; and
- other operationally useful accessories.
Avoylo does not promise that every equipment category will be offered.
3. Compatible Label Printers
A Host may use a compatible label printer that meets Avoylo's technical and operational requirements.
Avoylo may publish requirements such as:
- supported label size;
- print resolution;
- connectivity;
- operating-system compatibility;
- browser/mobile compatibility;
- supported label media; and
- readable barcode/QR output.
A printer does not need an Avoylo logo to be compatible.
4. No Proprietary Lock-In
Avoylo should not require a Host to purchase a proprietary printer where an ordinary compatible printer performs the supported workflow reliably.
A specific device may still be required for a specialized future service if Avoylo clearly discloses that requirement before the Host accepts the service.
5. Host-Owned Existing Equipment
A Host may use personally owned compatible equipment.
The Host is responsible for:
- lawful ownership or permission to use it;
- ordinary maintenance;
- safe electrical use;
- consumables; and
- keeping the equipment operational.
Avoylo is not responsible for damage to personally owned equipment merely because it was used with Avoylo.
6. Milestone Reward Program
Avoylo may offer a free or subsidized device after a Host completes a defined milestone.
The milestone must be disclosed before the Host relies on it.
A milestone may be based on objective criteria such as:
- verified completed outbound tasks;
- verified active storage period;
- operational quality;
- account standing;
- eligibility region; or
- another disclosed metric.
Avoylo must not describe a reward as "earned" if the published milestone has not actually been satisfied.
7. Initial Printer Reward Structure
For the pilot, Avoylo may offer a compatible thermal label printer as a milestone reward where the Host satisfies the then-current published eligibility criteria.
The exact milestone threshold remains configurable and must be shown in the applicable Host interface or reward terms before the Host attempts to earn it.
The core policy is:
- the threshold is objective;
- progress must be based on authoritative Avoylo records;
- duplicate or reversed tasks do not inflate progress;
- fraudulent activity does not count;
- the Host is not charged a hidden fee for an item described as a free earned reward.
8. Reward Progress
Reward progress shown in the interface may include:
- eligible completed tasks;
- eligible activity;
- milestone percentage;
- remaining milestone;
- reward status; and
- fulfillment status.
A display bug does not create entitlement beyond the authoritative reward rules.
9. Reward States
Avoylo may use states such as:
LOCKEDIN_PROGRESSELIGIBLECLAIMEDSHIPPINGDELIVEREDCANCELLEDDISQUALIFIED
A different internal state model may be used if the practical meaning remains equivalent.
10. When a Reward Becomes Earned
A milestone reward becomes earned only when the authoritative Avoylo system confirms that:
- the published milestone is satisfied;
- the Host remains eligible;
- no material fraud or reversal affects the qualifying activity; and
- any required claim or shipping details are completed.
An estimate or progress bar alone is not an earned reward.
11. Reward Ownership
Unless a reward is expressly described as a loaner or leased device, a physical equipment reward becomes the Host's property upon completed delivery and any stated final eligibility condition.
Avoylo does not retain a general right to remotely repossess an earned and delivered reward merely because the Host later stops hosting.
This does not prevent recovery of an item obtained through material fraud.
12. No Cash Alternative by Default
A free equipment reward has no automatic cash-redemption value.
Unless Avoylo expressly offers a cash alternative, a Host cannot require Avoylo to pay cash instead of providing the reward.
13. No Earnings Offset for Free Reward
An equipment reward described as free must not silently reduce the Host's cash earnings or payout balance.
If a future program offers a Host the choice to buy equipment from earnings, that deduction must be separately authorized and clearly disclosed.
14. Subsidized Equipment
Avoylo may offer equipment at a discounted Host price.
The checkout must clearly show:
- item;
- price;
- shipping charge if any;
- tax if applicable;
- discount or subsidy;
- return terms; and
- warranty terms.
A subsidy does not change the Host's ordinary service earnings unless expressly agreed.
15. Direct Purchase
Avoylo may sell compatible equipment directly.
A direct purchase is separate from Host earnings and Opportunity acceptance.
The Host must not be required to accept a Placement merely because the Host purchased equipment.
16. Equipment Payment
Where Avoylo accepts equipment payment, the payment method and checkout provider may differ from Seller service billing.
Avoylo must not debit Host earnings for an equipment purchase without the Host's express authorization.
17. Taxes on Equipment Sales
Applicable sales, use, value-added, or similar tax may be charged where required by law.
The checkout should identify applicable tax where technically and legally required.
18. Shipping of Equipment
Equipment may be shipped by Avoylo, a manufacturer, distributor, fulfillment partner, or another authorized provider.
Tracking and delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated otherwise.
19. Risk of Equipment Delivery Loss
If purchased or rewarded equipment is lost in transit before confirmed delivery, Avoylo may investigate with the carrier or supplier and may replace or refund the item where appropriate.
This section applies to Avoylo equipment shipments, not Seller inventory Claims.
20. Wrong Equipment Shipment
If the Host receives the wrong equipment from an Avoylo-authorized equipment order, the Host should report it promptly.
Avoylo may require reasonable evidence and provide a corrected shipment, return label, or refund as appropriate.
21. Damaged-on-Arrival Equipment
A Host should report material shipping damage or a nonfunctional delivered device within 30 calendar days after delivery where reasonably possible.
Avoylo may request:
- photographs;
- serial number;
- packaging evidence;
- short troubleshooting information; or
- return of the defective device.
This does not limit non-waivable statutory rights.
22. Initial Hardware Return Window
For equipment sold directly by Avoylo, the pilot return window is 30 calendar days after confirmed delivery.
A non-defective return is generally eligible where:
- the request is made within the return window;
- the device is returned with materially complete components;
- the device is not materially damaged by misuse; and
- the item is not an excluded consumable or final-sale item disclosed before purchase.
Applicable law may provide additional rights.
23. Non-Defective Return Shipping
For an ordinary change-of-mind return, the Host is responsible for the return shipping cost unless Avoylo states otherwise at purchase.
Avoylo may deduct an actual disclosed return-shipping cost from the refund where legally permitted and where Avoylo supplied the return label.
24. Defective Return Shipping
For a verified or reasonably supported defect during the initial return period, Avoylo will ordinarily provide standard return shipping or another no-cost return method where Avoylo requires the defective unit back.
25. Refund Timing for Equipment
Where a direct-purchase equipment refund is approved, Avoylo will ordinarily issue the refund to the original payment method after:
- the returned item is received and inspected where return is required; or
- Avoylo confirms that return is unnecessary.
Provider processing time may affect when the Host sees the funds.
26. Consumables
Opened or partially used consumables, including label rolls, tape, or similar supplies, may be non-returnable for change of mind where this is disclosed before purchase and permitted by law.
Defective consumables remain subject to applicable defect and statutory rights.
27. Rewarded Equipment Returns
An equipment reward received for no purchase price is ordinarily not redeemable for cash.
If a rewarded device is defective, Avoylo may provide:
- replacement;
- manufacturer warranty assistance;
- repair support; or
- another appropriate remedy.
A Host returning a free reward does not automatically receive its retail price in cash.
28. Manufacturer Warranty
Equipment may include a manufacturer's warranty.
Where the manufacturer is the warranty provider, Avoylo may assist the Host in accessing warranty service but does not expand the manufacturer's warranty unless Avoylo expressly provides a separate Avoylo warranty.
29. Avoylo Initial Defect Support
For devices directly sold or awarded by Avoylo, Avoylo's pilot policy is to provide reasonable initial defect support during the first 30 calendar days after delivery.
After that period, manufacturer warranty or other applicable statutory rights may control unless Avoylo has expressly provided a longer warranty.
30. Warranty Exclusions
To the extent permitted by law, ordinary warranty support does not cover damage caused by:
- intentional damage;
- unauthorized modification;
- liquid exposure not covered by the device specification;
- unsafe power supply;
- impact or crushing;
- misuse;
- improper storage;
- failure to follow manufacturer instructions; or
- consumable depletion.
Non-waivable legal rights remain unaffected.
31. Serial Numbers
Avoylo may record device serial numbers or hardware identifiers for:
- fulfillment;
- warranty;
- fraud prevention;
- reward integrity;
- support; and
- inventory management.
Such identifiers are handled according to the Privacy Policy.
32. Setup Support
Avoylo may provide setup instructions for supported equipment.
Setup support may cover:
- driver/software installation;
- label size;
- browser or mobile setup;
- print quality;
- QR/barcode readability; and
- ordinary Avoylo workflow integration.
Avoylo does not guarantee support for every third-party device.
33. Compatibility Changes
Software, browser, operating-system, or manufacturer changes may affect compatibility.
Avoylo may update its supported-equipment list prospectively.
A device previously sold or recommended should not be intentionally disabled without a legitimate technical or security reason.
34. Equipment Safety
Hosts must use equipment according to:
- manufacturer instructions;
- applicable electrical standards;
- Host Storage & Safety Standards; and
- ordinary safety practices.
Avoylo does not require a Host to repair electrical hardware.
35. Loaner Equipment
Avoylo may separately offer loaner equipment.
Loaner equipment remains the property of Avoylo or the identified equipment owner.
Loaner terms must disclose:
- loan duration;
- care obligations;
- return requirement;
- shipping;
- loss/damage process; and
- any authorized deposit.
A free earned reward is not a loaner unless clearly identified as one.
36. Replacement Loaner
A replacement or loaner issued during warranty service may have different ownership rules from a purchased or earned device.
The applicable support communication should identify whether the device must be returned.
37. OEM Programs
Avoylo may source compatible equipment directly from an original equipment manufacturer.
Avoylo may:
- private-label equipment;
- bundle accessories;
- negotiate volume pricing;
- distribute equipment; or
- integrate setup instructions.
OEM sourcing does not make the device mandatory for all Hosts.
38. Distributor Programs
Avoylo may purchase equipment through an authorized distributor.
Availability, pricing, region, and warranty handling may depend on the distributor.
39. Affiliate and Referral Programs
Avoylo may receive a commission or other economic benefit when a Host purchases equipment through an affiliate or referral link.
Where required or appropriate, Avoylo should clearly disclose the affiliate relationship.
The Host is not required to choose an affiliate product merely because Avoylo links to it.
40. Partner Recommendations
A recommended device is not automatically the only compatible device.
Avoylo may rank or recommend devices based on:
- compatibility;
- reliability;
- cost;
- availability;
- print quality;
- support;
- integration experience; or
- commercial partnership.
A commercial relationship should not override minimum compatibility or safety requirements.
41. No Hidden Commission Deduction
An affiliate, OEM, or distributor commission paid to Avoylo must not be silently deducted from Host earnings.
It is Avoylo's separate commercial revenue unless the applicable program expressly states otherwise.
42. Reward Fraud
A Host must not create fake operational activity to unlock equipment.
Examples include:
- duplicate task completion;
- fabricated QR events;
- collusive fake orders;
- fake storage events;
- manipulated accounts;
- forged delivery evidence; or
- another artificial attempt to satisfy the milestone.
Avoylo may disqualify fraudulent progress and recover a reward obtained through material fraud where permitted by law.
43. Reward Reversal
Ordinary later account closure does not retroactively reverse a legitimately earned and delivered reward.
A reward may be cancelled before shipment where:
- the milestone was not actually satisfied;
- qualifying events were reversed because they were invalid;
- material fraud is confirmed; or
- the Host became legally ineligible before delivery.
44. No Guaranteed Reward Availability
Specific reward inventory may be limited.
If an earned advertised model becomes unavailable, Avoylo should provide a reasonably comparable replacement, waitlist option, or another disclosed remedy rather than silently cancelling an earned reward without explanation.
45. Product Substitution
Where Avoylo substitutes an unavailable reward model, the substitute should be materially capable of performing the advertised Avoylo function.
Avoylo should not substitute a materially inferior incompatible device while representing it as identical.
46. Equipment Upgrade Offers
Avoylo may offer an optional paid upgrade from a free reward to a higher-specification device.
The Host must affirmatively choose and pay the disclosed difference.
Declining an upgrade must not cancel the Host's underlying earned reward.
47. Supplies Replenishment
Avoylo may later offer recurring or one-time purchases of labels or other supplies.
No recurring supply subscription is created unless the Host expressly enrolls in it.
48. No Unrequested Shipment Charge
Avoylo must not ship paid equipment or consumables to a Host and then charge the Host without prior authorization.
49. Equipment and Host Exit
A Host exiting Avoylo keeps:
- personally owned equipment;
- legitimately purchased equipment; and
- legitimately earned equipment that was not a loaner.
Loaned equipment remains subject to its return terms.
50. Equipment and Suspension
Account suspension does not by itself give Avoylo a right to seize legitimately purchased or earned equipment.
Fraud recovery, loaner return, legal process, or other specific rights remain separate.
51. Data From Smart Equipment
Avoylo will not collect telemetry from equipment merely because the Host bought it through Avoylo unless the collection is disclosed and permitted under the Privacy Policy.
A normal printer does not give Avoylo unrestricted access to the Host's local network or other devices.
52. Third-Party Software
Some equipment may require third-party drivers or applications.
The Host may be subject to the third party's software terms and privacy policy.
Avoylo is not responsible for unrelated third-party software beyond obligations imposed by law or an express Avoylo commitment.
53. Support End of Life
Avoylo may stop recommending or supporting obsolete hardware where:
- the manufacturer ends support;
- security risk exists;
- required software becomes unavailable;
- print quality no longer meets carrier standards; or
- another material compatibility problem exists.
Where practical, Avoylo should provide reasonable transition guidance.
54. No Host Resale Representation
A Host reselling personally owned equipment must not represent the resale as an official Avoylo sale, warranty, or certification unless Avoylo has expressly authorized that representation.
55. Equipment Claims Separate From Inventory Claims
A claim involving a defective printer or equipment shipment is separate from a Claim involving Seller inventory.
The Equipment & Rewards Policy controls the equipment issue.
The Claims & Incident Policy controls Seller inventory incidents unless another specific policy applies.
56. Policy Versioning
Avoylo may update equipment eligibility, reward thresholds, supported models, pricing, and partner programs prospectively.
A later version must not silently change:
- a completed equipment purchase;
- a legitimately earned reward;
- an already accepted return;
- an existing paid order; or
- a warranty commitment already provided.
57. Required Disclosures Before Public Launch
Before a public equipment purchase or reward program is enabled, Avoylo should fill and publish:
- company legal name;
- equipment support contact;
- supported shipping regions;
- actual reward threshold;
- available equipment models;
- direct-purchase prices;
- shipping prices where applicable;
- applicable tax treatment;
- manufacturer warranty information; and
- any region-specific mandatory consumer notices.
